USA English is a small, American-run English education consulting company in Beijing, and Hong Kong, China.
The Beijing USA English office is located in a typical Chinese neighborhood in the Haidian District near both the extensive subway network and Beijing's university area, including its international restaurants, bars, clubs, and more. We are always looking for talented Americans to join our team.
Unlike most other private English training centers in China, consultants work with a maximum of eight students at a time, and our students are some of the best in the city. Primarily our students are between the ages of 5-15. The majority of our students are long-term and meet at our center once, twice, or three times each week so there is ample opportunity to develop relationships with the students and be a central player in their learning progress.
We provide everything you need to educate, including training, books, multimedia, flashcards, and games to make learning fun for both you and your students. If there's something we don't have that you need, all you have to do is ask.
Plus you'll have the freedom and opportunity to develop your own education materials, class strategies, and style. With teaching experience or without it, we’re here to give you the suggestions, guidance, training and support you want, but you have the freedom to choose how to connect with your students.
As a part of our small team, you'll have opportunities to be more than "just an English teacher." Marketing, art, web design, or business development -- whatever you can do, we'll help you find a way to develop your abilities and add international start-up experience to your resume.
Since our founding, nobody has felt like our team wasn't for them and quit prematurely.
We're committed to making sure you get the most of your experience in Beijing so we’ll do our best to guide you through the ins and outs of life in China. We will help you find a house, get a Chinese phone and a bike when you first arrive, find Beijing’s best spots, and also help you sign up for Chinese lessons to add "Mandarin Chinese" to your skill set.
Our team members -- both American and Chinese -- often eat together, go out after work together, and travel together. We're more than just coworkers.
I really like my work because my work is very interesting. I also really like my coworkers because they are very good.

Signing on with USA English is one of the best decisions I’ve made. I joined the team as a teacher in 2013 and then got involved in helping us grow, first as an assistant manager and then from 2016 on as our general manager. All the while, I’ve lived in one of the world’s most dynamic and historic cities, seen more than half of China’s provinces and three other countries, gained a whole new professional skill set, learned Chinese, and also made a lot of great friends.

It was a big decision to move to Beijing and join the team at USA English, but it's one I'd make again in a heartbeat. I've explored my own interests - in design, marketing and writing - while also gaining a skill set in education. As a small team, you feel like you're integral - important to the business' success. The opportunity to travel, to learn a new (albeit frustratingly complex) language, and to live in a culture so different from my own has made every bit of this decision worth it.
