USA English is a small, American-run education consulting company in Beijing and Hong Kong. Here at USA English, we strive to build a strong and driven team. Our employees enjoy creative freedom and support as they develop their own styles. We work as a team, all aiming to provide the best product we can for our clients.
The Job
Unlike most training centers in China, our students meet in groups of no more than eight. Our students are some of the best in the city. They are primarily between the ages of 6-15, but we occasionally have adult learners. The majority of our students are long-term, meeting once, twice, or three times each week. There is ample opportunity to develop relationships with the students and be a central player in their learning progress.
We provide everything you need, including training, teaching manuals, multimedia, flashcards, and games to make learning fun for you and your students. If there’s something we don’t have that you need, all you have to do is ask. Should you choose, you’ll have the freedom and opportunity to develop your own teaching materials, class strategies, and style. With experience or without it, we’re here to give you the suggestions, guidance, training, and support you want, but you have the freedom to choose how to work with your students.
As a member of our team, you’ll enjoy developing educational methods that encourage clients of all ages to improve their English. While we model our approach around certain materials, we are always looking to improve – come with creative energy!
More about our center
Our Beijing center is located in a typical Chinese neighborhood of Zhongguancun, the tech and education heart of Beijing. Our location boasts proximity to Beijing’s top university campuses as well as the Old Summer Palace. Many parks, international restaurants and even dance clubs are within a 10-minute ride on one of the city’s thousands of community bikes.
Our Company’s Culture
We are a small company with offices in Hong Kong and Beijing. In our five years of operation, we’ve never had an educator quit without completing a contract. After leaving our team, the majority of our staff move on to pursue graduate degrees in a cornucopia of fields including business, education, history, and international relations.
As a part of our 10ish-person team you’ll have opportunities to be more than “just an English teacher”. Marketing, web design, or business development – whatever you can do, we’ll help you develop your abilities, put feathers in your cap, and grow together with our team. For those of you with skills outside of education, tell us about them! Former members of our staff have appreciated working on projects that allow them to pursue other passions. We want you to feel like you’re building a broad skillset, while also creating memories you’ll cherish for years to come.
We’re committed to making sure you get the most of your experience in Beijing so we’ll do our best to guide you through the ins and outs of life in China. We will help you find an apartment, get a Chinese mobile plan, and find Beijing’s best spots. We’ll help you find a Chinese class or private tutor and reimburse you for the standardized Chinese language proficiency test, HSK, if you pass. Our team members — both American and Chinese — often eat together, socialize outside of work, and travel together.

Testimonials
Alexandra S. says …
It was a big decision to move to Beijing and join the team at USA English, but it’s one I’d make again in a heartbeat. I’ve explored my own interests – in design, marketing and writing – while also gaining a skill set in education. As a small team, you feel like you are integral – important to the business’ success. The opportunity to travel, to learn a new (albeit frustratingly complex) language, and to live in a culture so different from my own has made every bit of this decision worth it.

Signing on with USA English is one of the best decisions I’ve made. Not only have I gotten to live in Beijing, travel China and Asia, and learn Chinese, I’ve also gained a whole new skill set that I plan to use throughout my career. Plus, I’ve made some great friends.
